"Far Beyond These Castle Walls" is the first album by Chris de Burgh, released by A&M Records in 1974. The title of the album refers to the 15th century Bargy Castle which is shown on the back of the album cover. Bargy Castle was bought in 1960 by Chris's grandfather Sir Eric de Burgh and his parents then converted it to a hotel. Chris sang here growing up as a teenager, entertaining guests staying at the castle.
