Frank Holweger: My name is Frank Holweger and I was born in Rathenow, Germany. I'm 36 and live with my wife and my 3-year old twins in Berlin. My greatest hobby, making or working with music, is now my job. I'm specialized in music/songs for children and cleanig up audiofiles from vinyl and tape to the so-called "CD-Quality". I have been a Chris-de-Burgh-Fan since the Mid-80's. The music of CdeB was and is the center of my musical interest and "Revolution" was the song that started me playing the guitar. I chose "Call My Name" because war has always been a dominating topic in the work of CdeB. Almost every song I wrote or write is something inspired by CdeB. "Call My Name" is something special, because it goes back to 1986 when I first heard the Song "Say Goodbye To It All". It is one of my favourites, especially played live with full band. I couldn't get the line "...We came to Juno, Omaha and Gold..." out of my mind. I had no idea, what these names stood for. So I was interested. More than 10 years later I visited the D-Day museum in Bayeux, France and there I saw a letter written by a GI. I was very impressed by the words he wrote to his wife and little child he left in a village or little town near LA. I re-recorded this Version of "Call My Name" with my friend Frank Scholz especially for the CdeB-Inspired-Song-Contest. Enjoy! Lyrics:
Time goes on, there is no doubt
I hear my country
I never thought that I could miss the desert of L.A.
I leave my country I hear your cry but I have to go
Stay at your window
Tomorrow the hell
I hold your picture I hear your cry but I have to fight
Stay at your window
I see bibles, I see tears
I hear thunder, I hear crying
Stay in California
